Hey guys. So like, I have a friend who's in a band. He made REALLY good music, but they didn't go big or even make CD's or anything. Some of the people in the band did drugs etc, and now the band is split up. My friend sent me some of the songs, and then his computer messed up. He lost the songs, however, I still have them. Being the only person now in the world with those songs (ya, the other guys in the band don't have 'em either). I really need to keep the songs. I LOVE these songs too, their really good. i put them on my iPod obviously. Then there was a prob with my comp, I had to reformat it. Now everything on the computer is gone. I still have these songs on my iPod though. Trying to install the iPod (with the cd) I noticed it said it needs to reconfigure my iPod to install it. This sparked my memory to the time before when my comp messed up and I reconfigure the iPod trying to install from the cd before, lost every piece of information on my iPod. So w\eva, I can't install my iPod until I get those songs onto my computer, I don't care about all my other songs, I can get them again easy. So I looked for E:\ there is none. My computer doesn't notice the iPod. The usb is plugged into the computer, when I plug the iPod into that I hear the funny sound, but I don't know how to install it without using the cd (without avoiding reconfiguring it). I thought about using the mic to record the songs on the computer, just finished doing it now, it sounds HORRIBLE. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? =((( Please help it would be greatly appreciated.

You sound like a girl from the 90's talking like that.
LOL, anyways google a program called podutil that you can take the songs from the ipod back into the computer.
