going insaaaane! stupid usb hub!!!!

i just got my 60gb ipod this morning, all excited and whatnot, only to find out that the computer isn't recognizing it. it said " A hi-speed USB device is plugged into a non-hi-speed USB hub." i tried all the visible hubs, and they all appear to NOT be hi-speed.

oh the sadness! lol AM I THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM?? what should i do?

why did they make firewire incompatible now?! i swear it's a sick joke for hardcore ipod lovers. now i'll have to take my old ipod mini away from my sister.. and she'll be sad too. lol

That just means you don't have any usb 2 ports on your computer (must be usb 1.1). Does not matter, it'll still work, just take longer to do stuff. Be patient!

go to pc store & get 2.0 usb card and put in an empty pci slot if you have one on the desktop pc or if it is a laptop you can get a 2.0 usb adapter card that plugs into you mini pci port.

thanks for replying! yeah, last night i saw on apple.com's forum that i was supposed to get a usb 2.0 card. i forgot i lost the original when i switched it with the firewire card for my old mini a long time ago.
