1 computer 2 ipods = problem

I have itunes on my computer and i share its use with my boss - so basically 1 itunes 2 ipods. I used to be able to put my bosses ipod onto my computer select 'no' when it asked me to update her itunes list with the one on my library and then just copy and paste what music she wanted onto her ipod - rather than the entire library. However, now when i choose the no option of updating her ipod with my entire librbay i am no longer able to copy selected songs to her ipod. Its really weird as i've not updated the software on either itunes or the ipod. Can anyone tell me what's going on? Why can i no longer copy selected songs to her ipod?

Does she have her ipod set to manual or auto update? It has to be on manual.

When you hook the iPod to the computer, wait for 30 seconds, you should see the iPod appear in the left bar. On the bottom of the iTunes program you should see 4 buttons. The left most button should look like an iPod. Click this one to open the preferences for the iPod.

On the preferences screen, it should open up to the Music updating preferences. Make sure the radio button under the list of playlists is selected for Manual updates. Click OK and the iPod will only be able to update manually.
