Help !!!
My daughter has an Ipod mini she got about 10 mos. ago. Last month our computer crashed. We've had to start everything from scratch. We just reinstalled Itunes. It wanted to erase her ipod - we said NO. I did an internet search and found Podutil. We downloaded the playlist from her Ipod to the computer. We managed to get the playlist into the reloaded Itunes. She purchased new songs but we can't get them to the ipod. We tried setting Itunes to manual mode but still no new songs. What can I do now ??? Itunes thinks this is the second computer of the 5 installs allowed. I have a 13 year old breathing down my neck !! Can someone help me be a hero ??? Thanks, Dan |

If all of the music on her mini is on the HDD of the computer then you will want to restore the mini using Apple's iPod restore program. Because of the crash iTunes assumes that you are on a different computer and unfortunately you have no way of telling it otherwise, the mini as well is thinking that it is only supposed to sync purchased music with the "other" computer. If you restore the iPod it will take it back to factory settings and all should sync well. Let me know if you need more help. Feel free to send me a PM.
