I got a Minie of a freind that needed a click whel so mI replaced it with a brand new one and nothiced i could not turn it off nor did the menu button work.
I restored I reset and upgraded the software but still had no luck then one day the menu button worked and i could shut it off as well but that only lasted a day now I have the same problem. Dose anybody have any advice or suggestions?

have you tried opening up the botom where the USB connection thing is, and making sure that little brown ribbon and the pin are inserted properly?

This same thing has happened to me.
Take the iPod to an Apple store and have the people at the Genius Bar look at it. It should probably take them about 5 minutes to tell what is wrong with it. With mine, my ClickWheel shifted and was not working at all. They replaced it for free with the warranty--if you've had the iPod for over a year, you might as well buy a new one--but with a fee of $30. Take it in and see. |
