Trying to decide which model!

Was not sure if this was the right board or not, just move it if not!

Anyway, I want an iPod! Woot. Heh, but I'm not sure which model to get. I was an owner of a 4G 20GB iPod photo about a year ago but got rid of it. I want one again for that luxury of having music wherever I want. I'll probably use it during school as well as at the gym amongst places. I like the 5G model. I also like how it can also play video, not as a priority but as an extra feature. I wanted to know if I could put videos on this and then watch them through a TV and whatnot?

Music-wise I only have like a gig but I add stuff all the time. I just don't like the $300 pricetag. It's not like it's that big a problem. Just 4 weeks work into it, lol.

Anyway, I was wondering what everyones thoughts were on this model and if they had others. I was thinking of the color 4G 20 GB as an alternative.

Thanks!

Yes, you can plug the ipod video into the tv and what the vids.
If you dont really watch movies and only have a gig of music go for the ipod photo. If you want the photo, apple sells refurb ones for cheap on their site

On the other hand if you plan to watch some vids here and there, and you think in the near future your music library will expand, go for the vid

Just get a nano. Maybe a 4 gig so you can add to it, and also peruse your photo collection. Its also small and very cool for the gym and school.

I've just relooked the prices again and cannot go with the nano for $50 less than a 30GB iPod. I've already decided on the 5G. Can't believe the nano's price didn't even cross my mind.

You can watch it on TV, but of course the quality is low because ipod videos are small-screen encoded.
