Duplicate Songs in iPod

I dunno what to do with the duplicate songs in my iPod. I manually update songs to my iPod. My computer Library has 2,500 songs and my iPod has more than 3,000. What gives! I see a lot of duplicate songs in my iPod. Does anybody know how I can easily delete these duplicate songs?

Hey,

There is an option in iTunes that let you view any duplicates which you can then delete
iTunes> Edit > "Show Duplicate Songs"

But that option only works with the iTunes Library of my computer, it doesn't work with the Library of my iPod.

I don't, my laptop iTunes Library is clean of duplicate songs, but I update my playlist often in my iPod so I dunno if that has any effect.

It sounds like you are just adding files to your library accidentally. Try being more careful when updating.

I recommend automatic update, it usually keeps me out of problems like this.

That doesn't sound right. It should work.
