automatically transferring music without music videos?

whenever i put my ipod to auto update only music and not videos, it auto updates music AND music videos! is there a way to make it auto update only the music? if not, i assume that i can make a smart playlist with only my music and no videos and autoupdate that playlist only.
so how do i make a smart playlist of only music files and no videos, especially no music videos?

thanks in advance!!

I don't think you can auto update music and only selected movies (ie manually) You would have to update from selected playlists.

To create a playlist go to File>New Smart Playlist and choose the settings that will put the videos you want in there.

Or Create a regular playlist and drag and drop the movies you want to transfer into those playlists.
