Oh thats cool. I just thought you guys meant you can only have 1 or 2 movies ON the ipod at anytime.

If they were the same size, why wouldn't Apple have used the same battery in both, to give the 30GB additional life.

the extra ram does contribute to extra battery life, but the batteries are different sizes. i'm 90% sure this is the first time apple have used different batteries in the same class of iPod (5G being a class) having seen pictures of the insides of both i can tell you the batteries are different.
