New Firmware Out!!//Problems & solutions

Woohoo! It's here:

http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

What's new in iPod Updater 2006-01-10:

* Support for the iPod Radio Remote for iPod with video and iPod nano
* Bug fixes for iPod with video, iPod nano, iPod with color display, iPod mini, and iPod with Click Wheel

Wow, even the old models.

Please discuss problems, bug fixes, etc.

WHen Updating, is it "better" to do a total restore...or is just an upgrade ok too?

Wondering if it is the same as doing a clean install of an OS versus an upgrade??

'Bout time. Hopefully this will fix all the quirky bugs that had me hating my new 60GB with video. At least my old 3G was stable and didn't crash out.

/me downloads new firmware and crosses fingers

I installed it and everything, and notice some changes, yes.. but does anyone else have this problem:

Holding down 'Menu' doesn't turn the backlight on or off.

Does the update finally make the interface fast like it should be? That's the only thing I'm waiting for!
