Question about what to do with old ipods

I was wondering with all these new ipods out if i could trade in my old ipod and get a new video ipod. I have a 20 GB 4th generation that was 300$ which is the same price as the 30 GB video ipod

You're throwing your money away with a trade-in. You can make double the money selling it on eBay.

Doubtful. You will have to check the exchange policy of the place you purchased your ipod.

I have used my old 4th gen iPod solely as a music source for my car, replacing the CD multi changer via a Denson IceLink.

Use your old iPod for activities which could potentially damage the new iPod. I.E. In your car.
