My Ipod is Very Messed up right now

So i got the 5G 30 GB black ipod video for christmas, I charge it up until it says fully charged and go, well my battery dosent last long, I put a couple videos on there, my battery is almost dead after 40 minutes or so I thought. I read and tried to do a battery test, while letting my Ipod run I was taking a shower and now it's frozen. I tried connecting it to the computer, nothing. I tried resetting it following the manuel, nothing. It played 53 songs and now it wont move, or connect or go to the next song. What can I do to fix this? sorry if already posted

I have heard a lot of people are having problems with the video part of their IPOD, I hope you got the Apple Care so you can get the 2 year warranty

yes try restoring it. as for the battery, everyon'es new ipod doesn't go that long, you have to use it a few times before you get the full capacity of the battery. so if restoring it doesn't work you gotta take it back to apple.

30gb iPod photo- has been sent to my aunt. She loves it, and is very careful with it, as I've heard. Hopefully I can get it back when the battery dies or the hard drive fails.

30gb iPod video- just got it as of 12/13/05 YAY!!!

How many cycles of charging/discharging have you gone through? I think a few people have reported longer battery life after 3-4 cycles; though 40 minutes is extremely low.

Yeah my ipod lasted only about an hr 30 mins but after a week or so. I'm up to 9 hrs which is pretty weird. Just give it some faith.
