Every thing that I should know before I sell my ipod on ebay?

I am about to sell my 4G ipod on ebay. I was wondering how I should prepare for this. I know its a stupid question, but I was wondering what would be the best way to remove all my songs off it? I just take deleteing them in itunes would be best. But should I format the ipod or something incase an apple user buys it (it is formated for windows)?
Also, do they have to register my ipod when they first want to plug it in and use it? Like do they have to register it with itunes?

thanks

The best way to remove all your songs would be to do a Restore using the iPod Software Updater.

well...

i don't think that you should delete the songs off of iTunes. When you do this, you actually DELETE the songs. But my reccomendation is to restore the iPod in the iPod updater. You just plug your iPod in and click restore. If you don't have the iPod updater, you can go to apple.com and get it.

You might want to keep the songs on there, it'll help boost the price up a couple dollars or more, thats what i did

When i sold my iPod Mini on craigslist.org i did a reformat and just put every plastic it came in and put it just as how i bought it. The buyer who meet up with me was totaly satisified and didnt even decide to bargain the price i sold it a month after the iPod Nano came out and it went for 200.00 for a 4GB 2G. My advice is clear it and clean it up and make it look new or close to new.

iPod 6G?
