Unhappy What's the plug symbol mean?

I have a 10G iPod for windows (previous generation). I downloaded iTunes, had a bunch of problems with it, and wound up having to unmount my iPod even when the screen was blinking "Do Not Disconnect." I've now downloaded iTunes 4.1.1 but when it tried to update my iPod software, it got stuck and the screen read "Can't unmount iPod." So I stopped that download, but my iPod was still telling me not to disconnect. I finally shutdown my computer again, and unplugged the iPod. Now the iPod won't even turn on. It flashes the Apple, then a picture of the firewire plug and an arrow, as though it were telling me to plug the thing in. I have. I've tried everything, including "rebooting" the iPod (Menu + Play), but nothing works. HELP!

That plug means to plug it into a power supply so it can finish restoring the ipod.
