TV Tuner?

hey
I know nothing about the technology behind the ipod so what im saying might be rubbish. But will/could there be an itrip tv tuner?, rather than radio. Like, you know, so we can watch tv on the ipod.

I'd pay good money for one of those

I have discussed this with a friend. I was thinking it would be cool. I am not sure if the iPod has enough technolocy to handle something like this. It would be an amazing trick if someone pulled it off. We will have to wait and see.

Huh I never really thought about that. Seams very possible seeing that radio waves can carry video (ie on air TV). So I guess it would just be a matter of getting it power and reception. Awesome ideo though

What exactly are we talking about here? A video iTrip - i.e. transmitting to a nearby TV? Or a TV receiver for the iPod? Both would be quite cool I guess.

It would require the dock connection to support live video input, and since there aren't any screens on the iPod that hint at that, I doubt it's possible.

Now a TV-broadcasting iTrip: that's at least technically possible because the dock can output video, but the power and size requirements might be too great; plus the quality will probably be horrible. Also how many TVs do you have left that still receive OTA signals rather than cable, satellite, etc.?

you would have to transmit in UHF most likley to get a clearer signal and it'll be a nice huge transmitter for it to work
