Hello, I have a new video iPod, and I noticed that when I go to: Music> Artists> (a specific artist) and I click on that artist, the only songs that are shown are the ones that have an album name. The ones (such as ones that I downloaded and hence don't have an album name) that don't have an album name are not shown. I also found out that this only applies when I have some songs by an artist with an album name and some without an album name. When I have only songs, by an artist, without an album name, all the songs show up. Why is this? I noticed that on iTunes it shows that the songs are on the iPod, but I just cant see them.

the songs will show up if you choose Artist > "All" (at the very top)

Actually, I'm pretty sure that is a known 'bug' if you will, in the 5G models.

This happened with my 3rd Gen iPod, too. It was a good incentive to keep my iTunes library organized.

I have the exact same problem, geo487 -- I'm wondering if this is common with ALL 5G's, or if I need to exchange mine for a new one. Possibly a hardware issue, with the iPod not recognizing the iTunes input?
For anyone who thinks we don't know how to work it, there is NO "All" button... but with some artists there are. It's very strange. |

yea, this is a known bug and will probably be fixed with an update.
