the 3rd gen buttons look cool if you see it from a distance. If you look close it sucks. If you want to go for the backlit, fine but i tell you the battery level will be at 50% and if some one say they have 70% or 90% they are lying. Also, if its broken or damage inside you have nothing to do about it but to pay more to apple.

if i but it ill probably go for the 40 giger for 279.... thats alot for an older ipod but i have 19 gigs of music plus other stuff on my hard drive... whats that about the battery you were saying chris? I mean if i buy it from the apple website it comes with a 1 year warranty and i sayz it comes with refubrished parts... that includes the battery i think.

the 1 year warrenty is probally over. The battery life would be at 50% or maybe less. If you want to replace the battery you will ahve to pay extra.

i think that means it comes with the old parts becuase the new parts are installed in the ipod alrdy. If not you will have to install the new battery yourself (if any new battery). You should ask the seller for more details first. Then loungers mya be able to give you more helpful opinions. Everything is up to you =)

I think it will come with new battery if the perosn said that their battery is failing but expect 60%+ chance with old battery.

yea they said the chances are it will come with the original battery unless there was a problem with the battery then it willcome with a new 1... but the odds of that are unlikely... another question cuz in the pics ive seen of the 3 gen some are different... is the screen black and white or with that blue backlight like the old 4gens had?

It's like the 4 gen but the blacklit is a bit dimmer.
