Constant charging killing battery?

Well, when i first got my pod i charged it a LOT, whenever i could i would charge it, even if it didnt really need it. It was only until later that i read that it was bad to do that. I'm now having some problems with the battery, like it will shutdown because of no power even when it has half(or more) a meter left. Did i kill my battery?

The batteries don't have a memory but you are supposed to let it die down once a month or so (completely drain) and then completely charge. You are supposed to be able to charge it all the time otherwise.

Try completely draining it ... then recharge fully .. repeat and see if it fixes up the meter.

how do you know when its completely drained, just when it says there is no power left, because i can still turn the ipod on but then it shuts down right away, or does have to be so drained that nothing happens

when you turn it on and it shuts off is a good time to plug it back in to the charger. as for constantly charging, all it does is throw off your battery meter. discharge completely and then fully recharge once a month to recalibrate the meter

well i have tried draining it before but the problem is my ipod will shutdown even with half a meter left and when I start it it will either continue to shutdown or decide it has more power, its just acting really weird, but ill try again anyway, thanx
