iTunes Update

Several days ago, I attempted to update my iTunes from 4.9.0.17 to the latest version on Apple's site.

Tried twice with two different machines (both new and quick) but got the following problems on both:

iTunes/iTunes.exe Corrupt file

The file or directory \ iPod_contro;|device|sys info is corrupt

Pls run chkdsk utility

I downloaded again, did the chkdsk trick with no change or success.

Anybody had the same problem?

Thanks

Sorry to be a pest, but what do you mean by 'sticky'?
