I bought the U2 SE Ipod in March and it worked great for about a week. After that every couple of weeks I would get an error message saying there was a problem with the Ipod software or something and I would have to re-install, which I did everytime. It was a pain but at least it was a quick fix. I recently moved and lost the installation disc and went and downloaded the Ipod software from the Apple website which again was a quick fix but now when I connect the Ipod to the computer with the USB cable it will go straight into charging and will not connect or let me add music because it's as if the Ipod doesn't even exsist.
Anyone have any similiar problems? Thanks for any help. |

This has happened to me as well before. Reset your iPod by pressing Select+Menu together. I'm also assuming you have PC? This may be a common remedy for problems, but trust me, it is very effective. Once you reset, plug your iPod back into your computer. It should recognize it now, instead of just charging.
If that doesn't work, that means it is a faulty USB cord. Go out and buy a new one.
