My problem that I am having this that when I go to my computer it doesn't say "msdc ipod" it says Removable disk (F) I can't double click it to open my hard drive. and Itunes Doesn't even recognize my ipod even tho my ipod says it's connected. Please help thank you very much. ![]() How can I fix my problem?? |

It sounds like you need to reformat the iPod's hard drive as something along the lines made it corrupt (probably filling it to the brim). You NEED to use a 3rd party tool to do this, do not try to just format it with Windows. The reason for this is the iPod's hard drive needs (absolutely needs!) to be formatted using the FAT32 file system. Unless you are running something below Windows XP SP2, you won't be able to do this in Windows (even then the older versions of Windows XP are limited to 32GB devices for FAT32 formatting).
Download a 3rd party program to format the iPod's hard drive. Then restore the iPod using iTunes. I recommend using Fat32Formatter as it has worked for me. Swiss Knife is also a nice tool but it doesn't work on modern versions of Windows. Also, if you know someone with a Mac, you can take it to their system to reformat it (and even restore it).
