Apps not functioning after iOS 11.2.1 Update

I own an iPhone 7 (32 GB) which earlier was running iOS 10 and everything was running just smooth. Today I happen to update my iPhone to latest iOS 11.2.1 and now as the update has successfully completed I notice that few apps (like Snapchat, Instagram) are malfunctioning. Whenever I try to open Instagram it only displaying a white blank screen at the startup and few seconds later closes by itself automatically Can anyone please help me fix the error?

Have you tried restarting the device? You could also check for app updates in the App Store.

Hi @droidprincess, I restarted my phone. It's still the same.

Let me check for updates, I'll let you know.

Typically the apps that turn white like that on iOS 11, are 32 bit apps. They need to be updated to the 64 bit version.

If there are no updates, you can uninstall the apps and reinstall them. The usual press and hold on the apps and tap the x to uninstall should work. Then use the App Store to reinstall.

If that does not work, then make a backup of your iPhone to a PC or iCloud. Then Restore the phone to wipe it of everything, then put a fresh copy of the iOS on it, and restore your apps. You may need to find the apps in the App Store and tap on the cloud symbol to re-download the apps.

Have you backed up your iTunes Library this week? If not, you are risking losing your music and playlists....
