New iPhone 5 won't sync with my iTunes

I got a new iPhone 5c today updated with the latest and I'm trying to sync selected songs from my iTunes library.

It's recognized by iTunes.

Under Options I have checked "select only checked ..." and "Manage manually..."

When I click Sync, it quickly goes through the steps (syncing, finishing sync) but nothing ends up on my phone.

Can someone help me? Thanks so much.

Manual Management means just that; you have to manually drag & drop songs from iTunes to device.

Thank you. Manually was the only way it ended up working. It was time consuming, but it's done.

Personally, I wouldn't do "Manual Management" unless there is some compelling reason to do so. I'd set it up for Auto-sync to selected playlists. Define playlists (manual and/or smart playlists) to collect the songs you want on the iPhone & then auto-sync to those playlists.

When you set it up for manual management, that means you manually pick, drag & drop....
