Friend has offered to sell me her iPhone4. Her contract is up and she is upgrading to a new phone. I've told her I want the phone if it's unlocked and I'm able to use it on other prepaid carriers such as T-Mobile, straight talk, telestial, etc.
Unlocking the phone by the oroginal owner should not be a problem based on ATT website. However, given recent changes in US law what has been folks experiences using ATT iPhones on other carriers? Thanks for responding, calling ATT is my plan B (or, perhaps, C). Sadly, my past experience with ATT customer service is what prompted me to toss this question out to actual end users.
