Exactly as the title says, ive tiried Sharepod and various programs but none are registering purchased songs? is there a problem or is there another program i could try? thanks for any help

This feature is built into iTunes for purchased music. You just can't copy other music from an iPod with iTunes. Select your iPod in iTunes, right click and select "Transfer Purchases". This should be your regular iTunes Library and should be authorized to the Apple ID any older copy protected music was purchased with.
