Hi guys (and girls) !
I just recently got a friends iPhone 4 that had been driven over buy a car, and replaced the screens and bent back the frame but when i came to restoring it, it's blocks 2/3 of the way at the Firmware stage. It then show error 1 or -1 depending.... I've tried jail braking it and everything but nothing will get by, is it possible that the iPhone has no actual files on it so that the restore blocks.... Is there any way of getting buy these errors and forcing the restore ? Thanks in advance Lewis |

The official apple website line on 1 or -1 is:
"This may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues, and restore your device on a different known-good computer. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service." Guess I'd try another computer or likely as a result of the damage...
