i changed my email address and my apple id, for my iTunes account. i have an iPhone 3gs and it wont let me change my user id from my old account which means i can no longer update my apps or buy any new ones. is there any way for me to change my id on my iPhone?

On your idevice Go to settings > store. You'll see your user id. Hit this and select the sign out option. Then sign back in with your new id
