iPhone 4 Voice Control Won't work

My iPhone 4's Voice Control is useful when I'm driving, not having any hands free to dial or answer a call. But now, it's not working. Whenever I activate it, it'll vibrate like it normally does, making the beeping sound as well, but then it quits and goes back to the home screen. I haven't messed with the Jibbler (Code Name for VC) files at all, or messed with the GUI. Not being able to use this is going to bug me to no end. I really don't want to have to restore my iPhone. If you have any advice, please, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

If Resetting it by holding the Home and Sleep buttons till the Apple icon appears doesn't fix it you will have to Restore it. Restore is relatively painless as long as the iPhone is synced properly. Restoring to a back up can return the iPod to the way it was. The back up does not contain synced media, apps and photos.

Also, wouldn't iCloud also backup the other stuff?

Depending on how you have it set up iCloud can have a copy of your data which may include contacts, calendars and iCloud Mail and Notes. Unless you have iMatch turned on media you ripped from CDs will not be there. Only iTunes purchases which may be limited to music, apps and some videos depending on your country can be downloaded again through iTunes Store. Music, Photos and videos not in your iPhones Camera Roll but synced from computers will not be in the back up or iCloud and must be synced back from a copy on the computer.
