Need to find GPS App

I have an iphone 4. I have 10 scanned in maps of an area. I would like to be able to have the maps displayed on my iphone with my location.

Any ideas if there is a app that will do this for me.

Thanks.

That's gonna be tough ... the iPhone will know where you are, but somehow you need the iPhone to know where to place you on your map. In other words, there would need to be a way to define the coordinates of the map first, so that the iPhone can compare that to its GPS placement. Not sure if any iPhone app like that exists.

That finds position, but cannot associate your position on a map that you provide ... that is the challenge. Somehow you'd need to rasterizer your map image and associate coordinates onto it, then have your iPhone place you on your map.

Try again

Well I use an app called CityMaps2Go. You can find it here: App Store ? ?City Maps 2Go?

Pretty good, only a buck for the full version-you can try the lite. It and some other cheap "GPS" apps user the open wikimap project maps - you can download a bunch for free and only keep what you need. They might not be as up to date as the google maps but they seem pretty good, and no need for a data connection. I used one a week ago when I spent the weekend in Rome and it worked pretty well. Managed to find some shops we located on the internet with out of the way addresses!

Try bit map. You can load and georeference any scanned map that you have.
