iPhone not staying connected to wifi...?!

It's happened before and it just started happening again. No settings have been changed.

When I press the home button and slide to unlock, I won't be connected to my remembered wifi network. It doesn't matter whether I wait 1 minute or 10, it doesn't connect. If I press the "Settings" app icon, it will connect though. And I don't mean "Settings" and then "Wifi" and "choose a network." When I press "Settings", the wifi icon beside my carrier name will appear as though pressing settings prompts it to join my wifi network.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

I'd try toggeling your wifi on and off, and see if that makes it kick in. if not, turn off your phone completely - turn back on, and then turn on the wifi - see if that works...
