XM SkyDock & iPhone

I bought a SkyDock a couple of days ago to use with my iPhone. iPhone is up to date OS & firmware-wise. The app for the XM SkyDock is also installed.

When the iPhone is attached to the SkyDock there is a message saying "This Accessory is not Supported by iPhone." When the XM is launched there eventually is a status saying the SkyDock is 'Not Detected'. Yet the SkyDock itself is powered on and the iPhone still charges. Music via the iPod is still able to play thru the dock as well. I cannot however get a satellite signal due the status of dock not being detected.

Ideas?

I plan to call AudioVox as soon as they are open tomorrow but figured they might say it's an iPhone problem.

Also did some searching around here and for general compatibility issues there was an article with tips about cleaning the iPhone dock area with a toothbrush. I will give that a go, too.
