I've bricked my iPhone!

Currently, I tend to use my iPhone daily for email etc and quick web browsing etc - and just use my mac mini for music and podcasts; when I get home I sync the iPhone up with the mini and job done.

Today though, my iPhone wouldn't sync at all with my mac, I thought it could be a dodgy cable, but I tried two others and again got nothing (it wasn't even charging) - tried the same with my iPod touch, and again, nothing.

Quickly looking around the net for answers, I was told somewhere to put the iPhone into DFU mode to see if that made any difference..It did, however - I'm now in a worse situation that before. I now cannot restore the iPhone, I get a 1611 error - tried rolling back to 3.0 and get the same error yet again.
So my mac now recognises my iPhone, but I cannot do a thing with it!! - its stuck in the connect itunes screen, once connected.

Any ideas?

I'm guessing I'm going to have to take it to my local apple store aren't I? if so what should I take? and do i need an appointment?

cheers

What makes this even worse, by the way - is because I barely use my mac for anything other than music and podcasts - I don't have a mouse; I just use airmouse pro on, yes you guessed it the iPhone! so I'm now tabbing my way around my mac, with an ancient keyboard like an idiot. haha

Yep You Need To Take It To The Apple Store They'll Replace It Because It's A Hardware Issue I Looked At Error 1611 On The Apple Website And That's What It Is.
