Just wondering if anybody got the new ivyskin quattro case? They say it has a full glass screen?! love the concept and the facts that it is a hard case but can still dock. Hopefully we can see some reviews on it.

I know they have 4 models of these Quattro cases but I got the T1 version. I have gone through so many cases, and it was just so hard to find that perfect case. Ideally I never thought i could come across a case that was not too bulky, helped protect the iPhone, made it look sleek, and did not mess around with the functioning of the iPhone 3G itself. I then came across this case. I purchased it based on the fact that it is the only case I found that covers all the openings of the iPhone 3G, including the volume control, on/off switch, silent and USB port thing. I love the feel and the grip with added silicon on the sides for better support, it works incredibly. It feels good in your hand, it doesn't overpower the iPhone with too much case, and the thickness is enough to where you don't get parts that will not lay flat. I had another case made in a similar way, but the thickness of the silicon was too thin, and the part where the earpiece and home button were, would not lay flat, thus, letting dust and other stuff in and under the case. I like the fact that the headphone jack is covered. It is easy to pull the flap back and use it. The top and bottom (and corners) of the case have extra padding for shock resistance. Overall......this is the best case of this type I have used.

I saw the case saying it was dockable, I've seen some other cases saying they're dockable in case without removing the bottom, so do they just give you a universal connector, or is it just really thin on the bottom, I seriously doubt it'll fit my Griffin AirCurve

I have the Ivyskin’s Quattro-T4 ...it is VERY NICE! The touch-thru glass works PERFECTLY. I am concerned about the comment:
"...the slide-off rear back shell piece had a tendency to come open when we wanted it closed—like, when we were pulling the iPhone 3G out of a pocket. One time, we had the rear shell come entirely off as we were pulling out the 3G, and had we not been gripping the device just right, it might have fallen to the ground, leaving only the rear shell in our hands. " I haven't seen this to be an issue...yet...but maybe after some use I will see this happening. I haven't tried using headphones yet, so don't know if the port openings will be an issue. As for docking...I am pretty sure it will work if you slide off the back...will it work with the back on??? I don't know...I need to buy a dock. I also have the SwithEasy Colors case...I will test this one out and see how I think it compares to the Ivyskin. |
