Yes a petition that Apple will ignore, because onlin petitions do nothing but gather signatures that go no where......dont hold your breathe on these changes coming, if these are features you desire, maybe an iPhone isnt for you....or jailbreak

Well in one keynote, Steve Jobs said that he didn't want to put backgrounds behind the apps because it would waste battery, so backgrounds behind apps is never coming.

MMS, Apple hasn't said a a word about it so don't expect it to ever come.

Wrong. Expect it to come when Apple isn't so crazed about thinness anymore, or just when they give us a really good battery. For now though, I'd rather have no wallpaper than have no battery life. Which is why even when I jailbreak I think I'm keeping the same theme. But do wallpapers really consume that much battery life? If not we may see it earlier.

MMS is probably coming on the next iPhone. They had no reason not to include it in the 3G, except if they wanted something big to introduce on the next iPhone. Because when they add MMS, they'll have most of the major complaints addressed. Still a lot of others (camera, video recording, and others I can't really remember...)

Also, now that they postponed the push feature twice, I expect it to come no sooner than with the next iPhone, i.e. with software update 3.0.

One thing that hasn't been complained about enough is the size of the send button in SMS. There is room above, why not make it bigger? I would be so happy if apple did this.

I really dont see how having a background can make your battery go down, but maybe there is something I dont know. Ive had my iphone jailbroken for pretty much the whole year i've had it and have noticed no battey loss cause of it.
