Torn between two iPhone cases

hi all,

looking to get a protective case for the iphone, so i've decided to go for either the SwitchEasy capsule rebel or the capsule neo.

i've read the reviews of both on this site and they both get an A and a B, so i can't decide which to get. has anyone got these cases on there phones and can recommend which is the better one of the two to get?

thanks a lot

I have the switcheasy capsule rebel in the devil color its an awesome case. Adds very little bulk to the phone, almost makes it more comfortable to hold. Also having watched the reviews of both of the cases your looking at the capsule rebel seemed so much easier to deal with over the neo. I love my rebel great case, great price, great looks need I say more?

I have the SwitchEasy Color which is pretty good for that kind of case. I've now decided I want a hard case. Based on iLounge's reviews, the CapsuleRebel does seem to be the top choice.

Anyone have any recommendations for hard cases that they prefer over the CapsuleRebel?

As an owner of both cases, I recommend the Capsule Neo over the Rebel by a longshot. The Rebels fit and finish is not very good, and the bottom of the case is very flimsy. The Neo, on the other hand, fits much better and is a lot better looking. The buttons on the Neo are *much* better than the Rebel -- the rebel is difficult to push the on/off button and the volume controls are very sensitive. On the Neo, these are covered by the soft & thin silicon and are a pleasure to push. The Neo also scratches less than the Rebel thanks to the raised logo on the back, and the shiny plastic material is more scratch resistant.

The negatives that reviewers talk about on the Neo is the installation, which I found pretty easy to do. It took me just as much time as the Rebel and it is installed perfectly. This should be a non-issue.

The only way the Rebel is a better case is if you plan on taking your case on-and-off very often. If you will do that, then go with the Rebel. If not, get the Neo, no questions asked.

How is that raised logo bump on the back of the Neo? If you put it down on a flat surface, does it wobble a lot?

It does wobble, yes. You can also spin it around on the logo. But I guess I haven't really noticed that since I keep it on a modified video dock (so it sits up straight instead of sideways). That way its not just sitting on my desk during the day.

I'd rather have it wobble some than get scratched all up and down the spine like what happened to my Rebel after 2 weeks, but YMMV.

If I may ask, what color Rebel did you have, and what do you think causes it to get scratched? Did you just have it in your pocket by itself?

I just ordered the White rebel because I figured the black would show the scratches more, I might just get the Neo as well to test it out.
