I can live without both. To be honest not many people send me pictures, most people seem to put them on Facebook now anyway. Does suck if I want to send a song or something to a friend or receive something from them via bluetooth.

While we are on the subject I want to mention SMS forwarding...

to the OP, this rumor was posted pre 2.0 software. 2.0 came out and no MMS, so i doubt it would come now.

Maybe Apple has an issue with people sending others iTunes music through MMS...
I just wish they'd at least have a reason (which I'm sure they must) and tell us said reason. Even if it's: "we don't know how" or "we don't want people sending illegal songs to one another..." IDK!

Rumors will be rumors until and unless the Apple itself is not making any official announcement about the up-gradation of MMS capability in the iphones. Even I am looking forward to it desperately.

I'm not sure why you bumped a 4 year old post but iMessage doesn't need full MMS. The iPhone can still send and receive media just fine and I prefer the way it handles pictures over my Droid X. Android lumps the text and picture together similarly to viewing a photo on the facebook mobile app whereas iOS allows me to view the photo/video without having to push on it to read the text. I can read the text and then look at the image/video as it fills my iPhone's display.
