iPhone RingTone Maker by Efksoft

I searched for this one and found nothing so hopefully I'm not posting old stuff.

Has anyone see and/or used this? http://www.efksoft.com/products/ipho...aker/index.htm

I know there are hacks that can be done for free but I'm curious about this. I also heard that the hacks will all be lost when a new Apple update is uploaded to the phone.

Any insight?

You aren't kidding! That program works flawlessly. So easy to use too! Thanks for the feedback.

I use it too, it seems to just add files to /lib where all the other ringtones are stored. Definately worth my $10... At least until Apple decides it wants to sell Ringtones on iTunes or give us the ability to add ringtones.

Complications demotivate.

There is a free way to do it, I almost got Efksoft but I found this nice little utility....just download and unzip and if you wish, you have option to upload ringtone without modding your iPhone...the only negative I see is that, as of now, the iBrickr program appends ".mp3.m4a" to the mp3 file name when you view the ringtones in your iPhone...not a huge deal to me (it's free!)

Have you tried powering off then powering on your iPhone?

iTunes 7.4 Ringtones Hack

Looks like there is a way to upload your own ringtones using iTunes 7.4 (I haven't tried this myself):

i tried the demo and 3 times unsuccessfully made a ringtone. It would play too fast and skip. pretty much turned me off paying 15 bucks for it if it can't do even one for me.

so are these the facts?:

erases ringtones every time synced with itunes
costs $15 and ONLY does ringtones (although it looks like you can choose the part of a song you want).

Seems to me $15 is still worth it just for the fact that you don't hack your iphone.

I believe that he's added a fix to easily restore your ringtones. That said, I haven't tested to see if his latest version is going to work with 7.4.2...

this sucks, how long must we battle apple for what we want to have on OUR phones? I can't stand paying money just to live in fear of Apple's next itunes update.
