iPad sync selects ALL Apps

There are times when I sync my iPad that all apps (iphone and iPad) are selected (checkbox is selected) during the sync process. I did not make this choice. I have to manually unselect some of the apps I don't want copied to the iPad.

I am using iTunes 9.1.1 and OS X 10.6.3

Did anyone else experience this and come up with a solution?

You need to make sure that your pref are set to manual update in the general tab. When this is selected you can use the checkbox to determine which applications will sync with the iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.. simple.

Why on earth would you suggest they switch to total manual mode as a solution? That's a bit scorched earth for what is some sort of intermittent bug. Whatever time would be saved in not having to uncheck some apps because of the bug would be lost 100X over in having to manage everything else manually.

To the OP, have not experienced this so I have no solution, but I don't recommend you switch your iPad to manual management unless you truly want to.

Click on your iPad in iTunes
Click on Apps tap for your iPad
Click Manually select Apps
Click Apps you want loaded
Sync again

Every time you add an App with another Apple device (iPhone ex.) on this computer it will add it too your iPad until you check it off.

The only way to avoid this extra step is to select manually sync devise and click app off before syncing iPad. (or any other aped linked device to this computers iTunes)
