Question What is the ULTIMATE Personal Bank Account/Finance Tracker?

I'm in the UK, which may as well be a third world country as far as online banking and personal finance software in general is concerned.

From my online banking, I can export a CSV occasionally with an update of all my banking ins and outs.

I want to be able to import this file into an iphone app, rather than enter things manually.

At a glance, I want to be able to see which direct debits are still unpaid, which have been paid already, and how much cash I have spare.

Any apps you recommend? Some of the apps seem hamstrung in one way or another.....

Do I HAVE to? No. It would be a very useful convenience.

I said "I want to be able to see which direct debits are still unpaid, which have been paid already, and how much cash I have spare." I'm not sure if you read any of my post properly.

I'm in Australia and have tried mint.com (not useful for Australia), so any suggestions for finance apps for the iPhone/iPod touch that are suitable enough for Australia ?

A friend of mine was over last night and we were comparing apps. I use Mint but she uses AccountR and loves it.

Hi..,

Mint on Android is the easy way of Making financial decisions. You can get Mint transactions in your phone's search results and you can view up-to-date information about your accounts, check your budgets and edit transaction info right on the app and also keep a folder of recent transactions on the home screen and get a financial snapshot with the Mint widget.

I heard that Mint is not really useful outside the US. I'd love to try out another though. Thanks for recommending an alternative that someone else loves.

Looks like a lot of people are recommending mint. I hope they update to international use.

I suggest Account Tracker. Though a paid app, I assure you that this is simple but very useful to my financial management. I am able to see the list of my accounts and keep track of the activities all in one screen. Can access my accts anytime. Uncomplicated app but again, very helpful.

Oh by the way, here’s an additional app. My wife has the Bill Assistant app as she is the one who manages our monthly bills and budgets. Bill Assistant shows the payment due, past due, surcharges etc. You won't forget making a payment with this app thus you avoid any penalties etc! In my opinion, I think they are the ultimately helpful apps because with our average income, we are able to sustain our family and enjoy the simple pleasures in life, debt free.
