Utility:

Remote, Air Sharing - for pure utility stuff
TouchTerm - for some quick and dirty SSH stuff
OSCemote - might be a rare one but has been really useful for my synthesizer endeavours

Games:

Aurora Feint - reminds me of old good Tetris Attack although not as good
Crayon Physics - really nice and relaxing physics based puzzle game
Wooden Labyrinth 3d - seems to come up with new things constantly (now with random level generator which works surprisingly well), three months ago this would have been the Labyrinth but now I'm much happier with this one

Please keep this thread going! I've jotted down a whole list off of here I can't wait to try!

I'm sorta new to the app world so the ones I list may not be a big deal. I've found these to be useful or fun and I have to say that for every app that I keep, there's atleast 10 I trash because they are worthless. A thread like this will certainly help myself and others find more of the worthwhile ones. Thanks to all who have participated.

I think all of these were free and if any of them were pay, they weren't more than 99cents that I can recall:

-Ebay Mobile
-Amazon Mobile

-Fandango - as a frequent moviegoer I find this very useful. Not so much to buy tickets but to see what's playing at my local theater, reviews, and start times.

-Cannon Challenge - A very simple discovery channel tank game. Warning: Addictive!!!
-Fastlane Street Racing Lite
-Homerun Battle 3D Lite - Bigtime addictive! Atleast for bored people like myself. LOL
-Skee-Ball - very simple and fun game. Win virtual tickets, claim virtual useless prizes etc...
-Hangman

-DigiDrummer - I just got this and don't have it totally figured out but it seems fun for free and yesterday I was listening to a Boston Album that had a fairly low volume compared to most and the digidrummer was just the right volume to play along with the song. I don't drum in real life, but for a few minutes there I thought I was Bonham.... LOL

-Sheep Launcher Free

-SleepMaker Rain Free - Helps you relax/sleep.

There were so many bad ones that I couldn't even begin to list them. The one that jumps to mind is this stupid app that makes all these cat noises that I thought would amuse my cat. Instead it frightened the crap out of him and now he only sleeps with the light on. I feel terrible... LOL

I'm really new to the iPod Touch lifestyle.

But so far, out of all the things I've downloaded, I like:

The Price Is Right
10 Balls, 7 Cups
Luxor

Still haven't gotten to the rest of the ones I've downloaded.

New Apps I've been enjoying and are must haves if you have photos on your iPod touch/iPhone. These frame apps can be overlayed onto one another for a more customized look. I've been having a ball with these frames and photos. The first 6 are the ones I use the most and have more frames that I like. The last 6 I don't use that often. They have frames that I have used but not a lot to chose from or ones that I really liked. They also have other features that can be used as well.

These other apps can be used and framed within each other for a more customized look. I have no regrets with my purchase of the paid for apps especially since I have a lot of photos even old ones of my parents when they were yound. Some faded and discolored but the frames have made the photos even more enjoyable to look at now.

1. Imikimi - This app has a lot of great frames to put your photos in. Highly recommend it.
2. Framed
3. Frame It
4. Phone Framer
5. advCardsLite
6. Purl! Lite - This one has speech bubbles you can add to a photo and stamps are various kinds. Like little pixies to a photo or teddy bears, objects like trees, cake, veggies, etc.

7. Photo Finish
8. PicFramer
9. myPhoto Frame
10. Love's Frames
11. Crop'n'Frame
12. NeonFrames

PhotoLabeler - allows you to add a message to your photos
& PS Mobile (PhotoShop) are must haves.

Simplenote - simple web-synched notes - Free

Dropbox - web synched files between your computers and iPhone/ipod. Awesome app, awesome service - free

ShopShop - Nice simple shopping list app - Free

Flixter and Rotten Tomatoes for movie info - Both free

TUAW for all your apple news. - Free

Shovel for digg reading pleasure - Free

Peggle - fun game - $Paid app

Midomi - music id, similar to Shazam, allows you to hum or sing and id it too. - $Paid app

Sol Free - My number one time waster, bunch of different, easy to use solitaire games. (In fact after writing this, i decided to support them and upgrade to their paid version, Solebon) - Free

WifiTrak - for finding and connecting to wireless points ($.99 i think)

Lux Touch - Great Risk-like game - Free i think

Galcon - Fun easy and quick strategy game, Lite version is pretty good for free

Naturespace - Relaxing sounds of nature, very realistic, can't hear it looping. Great to fall asleep to.

uHear - Decent Hearing test app ($paid, but fairly cheap iirc)

Whenever I'm traveling to a new city I always use free apps for city transit information. It's worked great so far in New York and Chicago. No reason to pay for an app if you're only going to use it for a week or so.

I am not sure you call this one an app but I downloaded the Kindle and LOVE it. This way I always have a something to read when I am in carpool line, doctor or where ever. I did change it where the page is black and the typing is white. My poor old eyes can see it better and there are so many free new release books that amazon has for you to download (not illegal)
