Okay so I just did a fresh install of Windows 7 on my laptop. I have another much older PC on the opposite end of the house.

Both have iTunes installed. Ever since my Win7 upgrade I can't change the the iTunes media folder location to be the same on each PC. Before all I did was make them share the same network drive, But when I browse the folder that my has my iTunes library the file isn't there to share only the folders.

Okay, so is this a confliction with Win7 to old PC with XP or a Win7 iTunes network sharing confliction?

On another note I decided okay iTunes has this fancy "Library sharing" feature. Great. Only issue is I only have limited veiwing of my library The promary PC I can veiw the albums and artwork. My other I can only see the music files....Okay no biggy at least I can still handle my music on both computers like I did in tthe past. BUT, I have to have iTunes running/sharing on both. I don't want that because iTunes uses more memory then I need when using computers for most tasks.

Thanks in advance.

Today, PDair graciously sent me their Rubberized Hard Case ($18, free shipping, no tax)...

Today, PDair graciously sent me their Rubberized Hard Case ($18, free shipping, no tax). It is a slider case with a soft, rubber-like outside.

This is the box it comes in (for some strange reason, the iPhone picture/insert was upside-down for mine as the black part should be at the bottom)

It has velvet-type lining on most of the top part to prevent scratching the iPhone's back

The back has a locking mechanism to prevent the two pieces from coming apart

Aesthetics&Feel
The case's colors sort of remind me of the original iPhone (which I find very good looking) and the rubbery texture feels great in my hands
10/10
Protection
This case covers all but the front (obviously), bottom, volume buttons, 3.5mm jack, and sleep/wake button so it provides great drop protection
9.5/10
Accessibility
It is a slight hassle to get the case on, the bottom part needs to be squeezed to slide into the top (this can be remedied by putting the bottom on first, squeezing the bottom, and then sliding the top on). The sleep/wake button is surrounded by case, so it is slightly harder to press
8.5/10
Build Quality
There were some seams in the rubber where there was "stuff" in, causing few (1-3) specks of brown
8/10
Value
At only $18 shipped to you, this is a great deal
10/10
Overall
A great slider for $18
9.2/10 (A-)

I currently am a paid up user of Tag & Rename, but this does not seem to offer the functionality.
Has anyone tried something like this before? Any thoughts on what software to use?

Ok, so I went ahead and replaced that with the 2nd Gen Ipod, the version MB533LL .
Everywhere I read, the MB versions should have absolutely no problems getting jailbroken.
Was I wrong !
Excited to finally jailbreak the 2G,I ran blackra1n and got stuck at the same exact step as with my previous 3G....
I have tried so many methods now, I lost count.

Sorry if this isn't the right place for this. I just joined and quickly browsed through all the areas of the site and this seemed the most appropriate place. I also did a few searches, but I found so many irrelevant results that a search was not helpful at all.

Anyway, I just got a new iPhone 3GS. I also have the newest version of iTunes for Windows Vista.

Here's my problem. While at home, I downloaded numerous ringtones to my computer and then synched them to my iPhone through iTunes. A few days later I went to my GF's house and used her computer. I downloaded a new ringtone on her computer and synched it to my iPhone through iTunes. What I didn't realize, is when I did that, because her computer didn't contain the original ringtones I added, iTunes automatically deleted them from my iPhone.

Turns out this will continue to happen unless both computers have the exact same files. This to me is a horrible feature of iTunes. I have searched through the settings and can't seem to find any way to stop that from happening.

Is there a way to stop iTunes from deleting files on my phone if the computer I'm using doesn't contain those files? If not, iTunes might be the worst program ever created. No offence to those who like it, but that's a pretty severe limitation for such a heavily used program. I love the iPhone, but so far I hate iTunes. I'm hoping I hate it only because I haven't learned how to use it yet, although I'm normally very tech suavy.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
