Hello everyone..
I am about to buy new pair of headphones and is confused between sennheiser 202 or 203.... I want it just for listening to music/ watchin movies etc. I listen to mainly classical, not much really heavy stuff. |

I am not familiar with these models, but check out The Headroom for more help. They have detailed descriptions, graphs and reviews to help you make your decision. I glanced through the descriptions and they do state the 202 lack in midrange which may be a down fall for classical music.
I also do not listen to classical music but like acoustic guitar tracks, I believe you would be happier with a more neutral headphone which can bring out the details of the instruments which are more mids and highs. The 203 are higher rated here with better highs and Sennheiser does describe them as a monitor. Monitors are generally more neutral sounding with the lows, mids and highs more or less the same levels. They try not to color the sound and try to reproduce it like the original sound. If you are buying them locally I would shop at a store with a good return policy and try them both. Listening to headphones is more of a personal taste since I believe everyone hears things a little different than others. The difference between the 2 models may be large or so minute you can't tell the difference. The next guy will come along and say the difference is like night and day.

Another great place to research headphones is Head-Fi.org - Headphone forums and reviews for audiophiles . Be aware though these guys can be fairly picky. If you research a headset long enough there you can find completely opposite opinions of the sound of the same headset.
