My shuffle is clicking, skipping, ticking every 2-3 seconds. It is as if a CD player was being jiggled so that the music is skipping at a slightly irregular but constant rate throughout each track. I removed all tracks and reinstalled. Any ideas?
I've encountered the same problem with audio book files larger than 100 MB when trying to transfer the bookmark between iPod and iTunes. I suggest you try smaller files if this is the reason.

Yes, some are not all .mp3 music files. Some are Audible. However, all are less than 20 Mb. I ended up restoring the software with the 3/23/05 iPod updater. Thanks.
