error with my itunes or ipodshuffle?

Hey, my ipod shuffle was working fine until today. i plug it in and open up iTunes; a popup window comes up saying there is an error and shuts it down. So i tried using the Ipod Updater to restore my ipod shuffle. The ipod Updater says theres an error reading the firmware something. Help,plz?

i think i've got the same. does it say "can't find iPod Shufle ..." or something like that? that's to me! then i have to restart itunes and than it works again.
