I just bought a Speck ToughSkin case for my 60gb photo. Has anyone plugged in a Monster iCarPlay Wireless Plus through this case? I don't know if the hole in the bottom of the case will be larege enough to fit the plug. I ordered the Monster product online, so I don't have it yet. My 60gb Photo went into the ToughSkin case fine. No problem.
I have that setup, (60gb photo, toughskin, icarplay plus), and it works fine. The plug just fits without having to nudge or stretch the toughskin.

jc3k,
Any other likes or dislikes with the toughskin case. I was wondering where you get a replacement screen cover and click wheel cover when they get scratched. Any ideas? Does speck have a website. I can't find it. Thanks .
I like it. Keep in mind that I am new to ipods and cases though. I've only had the toughskin for a few weeks.
I don't use my ipod on the move as such. I tend to carry it unused in my bag to where I am going and use it there, usually work. I only use the transmitter when I am going on long trips. It works really well by the way, at least in my car it does.
My first case was the www ipodlounge com/index.php/accessories/product/stm-cocoon/
I was happy with that, but it didn't play nicely with the monster fm transmitter and the remote at the same time. That is why I got the toughskin. On a sidenote, the inner case of the cocoon was so tight, I ended up ripping it when removing it.
I don't know about replacement screens, though it does look like it will scratch fairly easily. Whenever I put it somewhere rough, like inside my bag, I put it back in the cocoon case, without taking the toughskin off.
So I have a case inside a case. It's overkill I know.
I read that some people don't like the clickwheel cover. It doesn't bother me.
I removed the nub on the back that attaches to the beltclip. This is because I usually have it sitting flat on my desk. I don't plan on attaching it to my belt. When I removed it, it left a hole in the back of the case. I didn't like that, so I took the nub, cut the sticking out bit off with a hacksaw, then sanded it smooth and put it back on the case. It also didn't fit in the cocoon while the nub was attached.
The web address for the toughskin is www speckproducts com/toughskin.html
There is a review here
www ipodlounge com/index.php/reviews/comments/speck-products-toughskin-ipod/
ps. I tried to post the html link, but the board said it didn't trust me enough to post links. So I had to remove the '.' from the address.

jc3k,
The reason I bought the case was one, to protect the ipod and two, because of the belt clip. I am so used to having a cell phone hanging off my hip, that having the ipod on the beltclip attatched to my belt, is like second nature. I read the review before buying the case. I was going to buy an Iskin until I read the reviews about the back of the belt clip inside the case melting to the ipod. One of the advantages of the belt clip being on the toughskin case is that when I set it on a desk it is elevated so I can see the screen while working on my computer. Talk about multitasking. I know it was not designed for this but it's a little perk I found that helped me out. Thanks for the website.
Sorry, I got confused and forgot you had already bought the toughskin :)
I can see why some people use a beltclip, they just bug me. I liked that speck gave you the choice of taking it off, just wish that they had included something to fill the hole if you did so.
