Hi, I have a problem with my contour showcase black 4G case. I have dirt or something, its not scratches, its just a foggy stain on the front glass of the contour showcase, i tried cleaning it with handwash soap, it doesnt go away, i was wondering if any of you guys have experienced this, and how to remove it, so i can see my ipod photo clearly. thanks
i had the same "foggy stain" on my iSee. it's not really a stain and it's not a scratch, more of what i'd call a scuff. anyway, i used some toothpaste and a microfibre cloth and polished the scuff out. took about 15-20 minutes of hard polishing, but the scuff is completely gone. since then, the iSee has picked up a few more of these, but i haven't bothered with them (yet) as they aren't over the iPod's screen like the last one.
i know my method is for an iSee but it should work on your showcase since they're the same plastic. good luck
I had one of these small but annoying foggy/scuff marks on the screen of my black Showcase too. You can use try a tiny bit of Brasso and a microfibre cloth to reduce the appearance til it is almost unnoticeable.
Hint: remove the iPod from the case first! Cheers.
