for those dissapointed by the apple in ear....

I just took the rubber buds from the sony ex 51(or and of the similar sony's) and reaplaced the ones on the apple phones. this worked amazingly! it provided the stay in power of the sony's with a tiny bit less isolation (alowing you to be slightly more aware of your surroundings) and made for better bass in those phones. which when compared directly to the sony's was a big difference. the apple's wheren't "muddy" like the common complaint of some sony users. hope this helps some dissapointed people!

yup, i did this as well, but the seal isn't as good :)

i agree it isn't quite as good as with the whole sony earphone, but it is much better than the apple's with thier own tips. and it also allows you to be slightly more aware of your surroundings. you also don't have to turn up your ipod as loud with the apple's either.

I tried this but the sonys were slanted and the apples aren't...or the other way. Anyway one got stuck in my ear and damn near freaked me out. Lucky for me I was at work and shot shoving them into my head too much.
