I have a 10GB 2nd Gen ipod and i have not used it in about 6 months so today i tried to plug it in to my computer and it didn't get reconized. I have a dell with windows XP and it use to work fine and always be reconized. Now when I plug it in the apple logo comes up and then it goes right to "OK to disconnect" sign. And the ipod never showed up on iTunes. I tested my firewire card and it works. Do I have to update my ipod? How do I do it? It says i have the latest version on iTunes. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on how to get my ipod working again?
