View Full Version : New Computer...can I Transfer My Songs?

Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. Hi, I just got a new computer and before I install everything, I was wondering if there was a way to transfer all my songs from itunes onto my new computer or is there a way to transfer the songs from my ipod to the new computer? I heard about something called iPodCopy, but I just want to make sure that will work before I use the new computer.

I recommend PodUtil. Used it a few times and haven't had a problem with it.

I am in the same boat as the originator of this post. A few questions for you:
1) If you use one of those programs, do the ratings, playlists, etc all stay the same?
2) what if I copy over sections of my music from my old computer that is now on my new computer (because of this new program). Do I run into a problem if I have multiple copies?
3) I really like the way my current music is organized... I'm guessing if I use this freeware program all organization is lost?...

yes i am always wondering about these questions.. anyone know what program i can use to keep all my playslists/play count etc?
