Here's my equipment before I start:
Windows 2K service pack 4
Clickwheel iPod
USB 2.0 PCMCIA card < provantage.com/buy-7cbtu01w-2-port-usb-0-32-bit-pcmcia-card-cables-go-firewire-27386-shopping.htm >
Primary hard drive = C:
iTunes version 4.7 (downloaded/uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times)
iPod Updater 3/23/2005
So, when I first got the iPod, everything worked and continued to work for a few months. But, as of say, January, I haven't been able to get my iPod to work. Here's the problem:
Windows assigns the iPod drive G:. Great, fine, dandy. However, neither iTunes nor iPod Updater recognizes my iPod. Help! I've done everything, even downloaded Winamp and the plugin for that. It still doesn't recognize my iPod!
I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and the Updater multiple times to no avail. I've put my iPod in disk mode, reset it, etc.
Is there anything else I can do before reimaging my computer? I've found nothing that works so far, but would rather not have to go through the trouble....
Thanks!
